PSHE Day – February 2020

On Monday 10th February we had an afternoon to celebrate all things PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education). It was wonderful to observe the whole school engaged in a wide variety of lessons. The Reception children learnt about friendship and what makes a “GR8M8” producing some lovely posters. Year 1 focused on keeping their bodies and minds healthy in PE. Year 2 “found their brave” which was the theme for this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week (3rd-9th Feb). Some of the Year 3 children learnt how to deal with worries and talked about how to be kind to themselves. Year 4 explored feelings and emotions. Year 5 engaged in some very eye-opening learning around the issue of sharing information on the internet. And our Year 6 children explored issues regarding how body image is portrayed in the media. Special thanks also to Gail and Mrs Hooker for including the mental health awareness theme in your activities on Monday! Well done to all the children and teachers for your hard work and enthusiasm.
