Outdoor learning experiences can be remembered for a lifetime. Interweaving learning and outdoor experiences, whether it be in the immediate grounds or adventures further afield, provides relevance and depth to the curriculum in ways that are difficult to achieve indoors.
When the children are learning outside you will see a different level of engagement, a natural curiosity and an energy about learning which cannot always be created for all in the classroom. The links to all other areas of the curriculum when outdoors are endless and the children will often lead the direction of the learning.
We strive to make the most of the wonderful natural surroundings we have, on site, at Sheringham Park, or even on the nearby beach. We firmly believe that our children will grow, learn and thrive better when connected with the natural world.
